Grounding Archival Knowledge: Maawn Doobiigeng in the Library
We were delighted to host the NULab for Digital Humanities and Computational Social Science’s panel on rethinking archival practices in our large presentation space on February 26, 2025 led by Professor Gordon Henry. The panel discussed how the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan set out on a project to ground archival knowledge in indigenous practices. The event was one of the first to be held in our large presentation space, and it was exciting to have such a big group gathered together (as well as an opportunity to work out the complexities of holding a hybrid event in the space). To read more about it please see this NULab blog post.
