Digital Humanities Now Relaunched from the CDS!
The Centers for Digital Scholarship at the Northeastern University Library is now the home to the relaunched publication Digital Humanities Now! DHNow is an experimental, edited publication that highlights and distributes important digital humanities scholarship and news of interest to the DH community. Since its launch in 2009, DHNow has been experimenting with ways to review and aggregate forms of scholarship such as blog posts, research reports, project updates, and similar items that don’t have the support of conventional publication systems to make them visible. The goal is to encourage scholars to share their research and learned expertise on the open web, by supporting discovery and highlighting items that feel especially resonant. With the decline of Twitter as a platform for information sharing, the renewal of DHNow feels particularly timely, and we are very excited to serve as its new home. Over the next few months, the DHNow staff will be recruiting guest editors and re-establishing the rhythm of publication, and we welcome participation by members of the CDS community—please let us know if you’re interested in contributing!
Members of the CDS community may find DHNow to be a useful resource to stay informed about the wider digital humanities community. If you are interested, you can subscribe through either the RSS feed or the weekly newsletter. DHNow is generously supported by Digital Scholar.
